Random snuggles

I had so much love and attention over Christmas, from Mama and my aunties.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

And Mom and Papa let us open a few presents early. We got to open gifts from Australia since it was already Christmas over there. I got some really cool books from Aunt Judy that I have read over and over already. They're my new favorites. I also out out some milk and cookies and carrots for Santa. It worked! He came and ate them!

Things to do around Florida

There is so much to do in Florida, other than going to the beach: Go out to lunch and eat mini pizza pies with Auntie Mary, play putt putt at Gator Land with Mom and Claire, and Daddy, Mama and Auntie Mary, and my very favorite: Mall bungee jumping!!!

Florida!

Spending Christmas in Florida was awesome, as always. When Mama and I first got there, only Auntie Mary was there. She took me out for chocolate ice cream and then to the beach, where I made her spin me around and around and around, and then I'd run up and down the beach all dizzy. It was so great.

Snow!

It's winter, and you know what the best thing about winter is? Snow. Make that, SNOW! And so far it's  been snowing a lot. Let's hope that keeps up. I'm just getting started with these winter sports.

Coming soon: Me on a snowboard! (But not yet.)

Daddy says I have to learn to ski first. So we're starting there. Step one: put on boots and step into skis. Don't fall over. So far, so good.

One reason I haven't learn to ski yet is that I like to take frequent breaks for shoveling. I love to shovel! I love to do most chores, and to be super duper helpful. I'm sure I'm going to be this enthusiastic about work for my entire life!

This is the snowiest photo I can find. It's not even that much snow. It's like the snow before the snow. A few hours after this we got like a foot of snow, and then forgot to take more pictures. Oops! But trust me, it was a lot. So much that Daddy couldn't get our car out of the driveway, no matter how hard he tried, and then even the plow got stuck. But they worked it all out finally.

Wait, no snow in this one! It's from last week. But it was actually snowing this day. That's why we're so bundled up. You just can't see it.

Styling Mama

Mama asked for some help with her hairstyling, so I volunteered to help. I'm very helpful. At pretty much everything. Even hair! All I need is a comb and some water.

Grandmom and Granddad's House

After Thanksgiving, we went to Grandmom and Granddad's house in Frostburg. It was chilly, so mostly we stayed in and played games, like dominoes, matching, and this cool new card game that Mum taught me, called SNAP!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was great, thanks for asking! We drove down some terrible road called the New Jersey Turnpike to Uncle Eric and Aunt Heather's house, which also happens to be the home of my favorite cousin, Drew! And Patrick! And the two "fluffies," Zoe and Merlin!

Taking a rare break from air hockey to eat.
Aunt Jenny reads us a book.
Then Drew reads me a book!

On Thanksgiving morning, we went for a walk and I asked to hold Zoe.

Then this happened. Oops.

Mum and Papa at the Big House

A few weekends ago, Mum and Papa came up to the Big House. Papa had never been before, so I was excited to show him around, and also to play some pool. I think he had fun. Come back soon!

 I win! High five!
A short hike up to my bear cave, which will soon become an ice cave.

 Lining up my shot...

L
Reading a book. (Note: not my wine.)

The last night, back in Brooklyn, we all went out to dinner and ate lots of bread. I even (mostly) behaved myself.

Mom & Papa Came to Town!

I had such a fun time with Mom & Papa up at the house last weekend. I have tons more photos of them to share with you, but this is a good one of me showing them my secret bear cave. Soon I'll be hanging with them in Florida, where we can trade it all the hats and puffy coats for swimsuits and fishing poles!

We love hiking

The family that hikes together, stays together! If that's the case, then we're in it for the long haul because we walk through the woods just about every single weekend.

I have a baby too!

I know mama has a baby in her stomach, and the other day I put lamby under my shirt and told her I had a baby in my belly too! Except mine is a girl and her name is Ropey Rabbit. The one in Mama's is a boy called Michael. (According to me, I named him.)

Good morning

Off to school on a chilly morning! I needed mittens, my puppy hat, the works!

Oscar & Me

Mama took me to an event at Sesame Street office the other day and I got to meet Oscar! I was a little scared of him at first but I touched him and he was made of plastic, so I stood next to him for a photo opp. I said, "He's not real!"

Subway fun

Riding the train is always fun for me, but one way to make it even more exciting? To pretend you're sitting on a carousel! I know it doesn't go up and down, but it does go bumpety bump, and it's good to hold on to something in case of sudden stops.

Cookie Time!

We went to Ikea the other morning, and I got some new tools for my toy kitchen—a little roller, a cookie sheet, and some little cookie cut outs. Mama said they would work just like real big ones, so we tested them out! They certainly did.

Halloween!

I could get used to this Halloween. It lasts for days and days and candy just keeps piling up. Today I even ate some candy for breakfast until Daddy realized what I was doing and told me that 7:30am is not an appropriate time for chocolate. I beg to differ. So do the French.

I wore my costume to school, and that was fun. We even had open mic and I got up on stage and sang Twinkle, Twinkle.

Then Daddy and me took the bus to the train and went into Manhattan to visit Mama at work. She works in a really tall building where there's candy outside every office and cartoons on TV in the offices. Maybe I should get a job?

Here's what I would look like if I had a job in a big office building, only instead of staring intently at emails or spreadsheets I would be staring intently at Team Umizoomi.

Did someone here report a fire?

Mama had some funny Halloween parade so she made me change into this outfit because I'm supposed to be some famous kid in Hollywood. I don't quite get it, since this is an outfit I sometimes wear anyway, but I went along with it because there was candy involved.

Which way to the parade?

We finished the day with more trick and treating and then a party at Alina's house, who lives next door to the famous Halloween House where they do this big show. I had a cupcake for dinner. Then pizza for dessert. Halloween rules!

More S'Mores

This weekend I learned about S'mores. They are amazing, and I ate two. Here is a pic of me before going out to make then on Saturday night. Mama joined us for about 2 minutes before deciding it was too cold and running back inside. Also, a bonus photo of me taking a break on a bench by the fire pit after rock hunting the next day, and enjoying one of my many treats after trick or treating on Sunday.
