Day 917: Dancing Machine!

Maybe you don't know this about me but I love to sing and dance. Here are some of my favorite songs, which I will gladly sing for you at any time:

1) Rumor Has It
2) The "Hey" song (Editor's note: "Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men)
3) Call Me Maybe! (see below)

Days 916-917: Calisthenics!

It's important to get your daily exercise, even on the weekends. Here's my Sunday morning workout with Momma and Auntie Claire. I think they call this jumping jacks, but I consider it practice toward my eventual goal of being able to fly like a bird.

Days 912-915: Pumpkins

People keep asking me what I'm going to be for Halloween. The truth is, I'm not sure yet. Maybe I'll just wear an orange trash bag, and this hat, and go as a pumpkin! But probably I won't do that. I'm still mulling my options. I'll get back to you once I've made a decision.

Day 911: Daddys Are Funny

My Dad is funny sometimes in the morning, especially when he hasn't had enough coffee. Like for instance: do you notice anything unusual about these shoes? They feel a little off to me.

Days 909-911: Max

So my pal Max came up to the house last weekend and we had a good old time: throwing boats in the stream, hiking up to the stone chairs, and tearing toys out of each other's hands.

Day 908: Which Way to The Trail?

Yesterday was a little foggy, but that didn't stop me from grabbing my stick and heading out for a hike. Still no bears, sadly. I'm starting to worry that they'll start hibernating again and I will have to wait until next year to see one! BOO!

Days 904-907: Have I Mentioned Before That I Love Carousels?

Because I do. I really do!

Day 903: Driving

I can't wait until I can drive. In the meantime, I try to pretend to drive as much as possible, so that I'll be good and ready when the time comes!

Day 902: The Big House!

That's what I call the upstate house, because it's BIGGER than the Brooklyn house, which isn't actually a house at all. It's an apartment. So I guess I should say, "the house," but it's too late now. Old habits are hard to break. One of the best things about being at the big house is all the stuff we can do that's different from city stuff. For instance...
Hiking!

Waterfalls! (Or water of any kind! I especially like to throw rocks into water, at least until Momma makes me stop to say "cheese!" for the camera.)

Climbing on rocks!

More hiking! (Or, rather, taking breaks while hiking so that Daddy can climb on rocks!)

These are some cool chairs we found in an old quarry! While hiking!

And, in the fall, apple picking! That's my bag there in the picture! It's very heavy!
I guess this tree is named for somebody's grandma.

Day 901: Carousel

You know what I love: carousels! At first, I was a little wary -- those things go fast! -- but then I got into a groove and now I can't get enough of them. This is a new one we tried, at the park by the big library. I rode a frog!

Days 896-901: Haircut

There's been much discussion in the house lately about the status of my hair. Should it be cut, or not? I don't care so much either way -- I can't really see it! -- but yesterday Momma gave me a trim. I miss the mullet!

Day 895: Playground!

Some of you probably wonder what I do all day. Well, I eat. And I sleep. And I play with blocks and trains. And I sometimes watch some 'artoons. But what I do more than anything -- unless it's raining or snowing or just really, really cold -- is go to the playground. Or as I call it, the payground! And we're very lucky here in Brooklyn because there are SO MANY!

Days 891-894: Road trip!

Daddy was out of town, in some place called Colorado way out past New Jersey, so Momma took me and some friends (plus their mommas) up to the big house. She said it wasn't very "relaxing," whatever that means. That's me, Leo, and Milo in the picture, and I have to say that there would have probably been a lot less chaos if we'd had three of every toy all weekend.

I took Milo out for a hike. He seemed to really enjoy this rock.
