More S'Mores

This weekend I learned about S'mores. They are amazing, and I ate two. Here is a pic of me before going out to make then on Saturday night. Mama joined us for about 2 minutes before deciding it was too cold and running back inside. Also, a bonus photo of me taking a break on a bench by the fire pit after rock hunting the next day, and enjoying one of my many treats after trick or treating on Sunday.

Big Foot

These pajamas are new, but when I put them on I cried that they hurt my toes. I guess I have pretty big feet! Nothing that a pair of scissors couldn't fix. Now my toes are free to wiggle and don't get squished up anymore. All good so I can watch Americas Funniest Home Videos and eat grapes.

Happy Halloween!

It's not Halloween yet, but people were all dressed up this weekend for it anyway. I left my fireman costume in Brooklyn, so when we heard there was candy and a parade in town up at the big house, Mama and Daddy had to make up a costume quickly. My shield ("It fends off every foe!" I said, which is from my Captain America book) was once a pizza box and my sword came from the yard. My tunic is mama's sweater, and the beard is made up of makeup remover pads. I think I'm a Viking/Knight/Medieval something or other. Whatever I am, I got a lot of candy!

Grandmom and Granddad!

This weekend was super awesome because Grandmom and Granddad came to visit me at my big house. We had a really nice time. I only wish they'd stayed longer. This morning at breakfast I even told Daddy that I missed them and that I wish there were still here.

Big House!

Wow, this fall has just been the best. I hope it keeps being warm and sunny!

Here's me having a drink of wild water in the woods by the big house. It's near the bear cave and I call this my drinking fountain. It's VERY slippery. Trust me.

Isn't my new vest cool? Thanks, Aunt Jenny!

I'm getting so good at putt putt. I will play this game until they pull the club out of my hands, even if it's 20 degrees. This week, Mama declared it was too cold for mini golf and sat in the car. Thanks, Daddy!

That's Hunter Mountain the background. That's where I will learn to ski as soon as it's snowing!

This is me playing the wobbly game on the rocks. I wobbled too much and fell! This is how Daddy found me, in the creek bed. Luckily the dry part!

DIgger!

I'm not as into diggers as I once was (now I like trucks and cars—especially the movie Cars) but this digger is digging right outside of the school playground! We could stand here and watch it digging all day!

Fall! Leaves! (In Which I Learn a Hallowed Tradition of Fall.)

Mama was out of town this weekend in Michigan -- but not at Aunt Sarah and Uncle Larry's house, so I guess Michigan is pretty big. That means it was just me and Daddy and we went up to the Big House and Daddy taught me this cool new trick. He raked up a bunch of leaves and told me to jump in them! It was fun!

Jump!

Here's the after shot of me jumping off my favorite tree stump! I'm allowed to do it until somebody gets hurt.

More fall fun

After I played football, I also climbed up and jumped off the big tree trunk in the yard, kicked the soccer ball around, and rode the scenic train near Woodstock. Big day! (This was two weekends ago. I get to go back up this weekend and I can't wait.)

Football!

There's nothing that goes better with fall than playing football in the yard at the big house! Except maybe drinking hot chocolate after being cold.

Off to School!

Here I am waiting for the bus that takes me to school. I call it the 2 and the 6 bus. One day I'll remember it's the 26. We were pretty late this morning because Mama is rolling solo and normally Daddy makes my breakfast and lunch and gets me dressed while she gets ready for work. And I was very specific in that I wanted to eat: scrambled eggs with ketchup, toast with honey and red grapes. And then I wanted to play with trucks and spin around instead of put my shoes on. And I didn't want to wear the sweater, but she said it's a vest, not a sweater, so I gave in. But the good news is Mama got to see what Circle Time is like at school. (Ed note: Super adorable!)

More dancing!

This is Leo and I bouncing around to some Jeremy Plays Guitar on Saturday morning! After that we walked through the park back to our neighborhood, had hotdogs and milkshakes for lunch at Bark, and then I went to see my friend Frankie in Carroll Gardens. The next day I saw my friend Greta on the Upper West Side, then went to the grocery store to get stuff for snack week at school, and then to my friend Jesse's birthday party! Busy busy boy. No wonder I slept in til 8 this morning.

Silly Dancing

I have a special dance I like to do when I'm listening to my favorite singer. Jack Johnson. Most mornings I say, "Look at my silly dance! First I move my shoulders, then I wiggle my head, then I slide my feet!"

Weekend in Brooklyn

We spent the weekend in Brooklyn for once, instead of at the big house! Daddy is in California for work, so it was just me and Mama. We did so much stuff. First up was the farmer's market and playground, then we went to this school event where we made a subway train out of cardboard boxes. I painted mine black and then sat in in, getting paint everywhere! Then Leo joined me in the car, but we didn't really fit. My music teacher, Jeremy Plays Guitar, did a couple of songs and I danced like crazy. Mama bought his CD and I have made her play it so much over the weekend she already has it memorized.
