Wet Weekend

Now I know why they call late spring "mud season." We still have lots of snow up at the big house, but  it's melting fast and the resulting mix is YUCKY.

I did go skiing on Saturday, with Daddy, and that was great -- I was great! -- for about two runs and then I lost focus and melted down. I'm not sure why. We all have bad days, I guess.

Sunday we went bowling, which was awesome.

I also helped Daddy put together the new vacuum.

And I watched my favorite non-cartoon, America's Funniest Home Videos, after bath!

Also, I Rode the Lift!

Initially I was a little hesitant to ride the ski lift. It seemed so high! But then my rather brusque Czech ski coach/drill instructor just made me take it anyway and you know what...  not bad! Now I'm an old pro.

 That's me, the little one!

And then a day later, with Daddy!

More Skiing!

Since winter seems determined to stick around for awhile, I'm just gonna keep working on my skiing. First I was good at going fast, but only straight. Then I learned to stop, mostly. Now I'm turning. Real turns! As long as it's not too steep. In that case I tend to lose focus, go straight and then fall over.

Fishing!

My trip to Florida was short and sweet. I got to play putt putt with Mom (twice!) and got in a little fishing time with Papa. We didn't catch anything, but I did get the shrimp out of the bucket all my myself which was fun. It was a little cool for swimming in the pool, but we got in the hot tub and splashed around. Then it was back home to Brooklyn. I'm always so sad when I leave Florida. I told Mama that I wished we could stay there forever.

Flying!

This is what happens when you are bored at an airport because of delays. Mama and I were flying home after a quick and crazy trip to Florida over the weekend, and our plane was taking FOREVER to leave. But we ended always have fun traveling together anyway. She said I was so good and am the best flying buddy ever. We even got  seats that went into a full bed! Did I take a nap on these cool seats? I did not, I stayed up until 11PM watching Paw Patrol instead!

Snow!

We have so much of it that Daddy had to shovel the roof! Who ever heard of shoveling the roof?! Also: do you like my outfit? Mama picked it out.

At the Mountain

This weekend, we went back to the regular mountain, the one I call the "big mountain." Everyone else calls it Hunter. I got one real lesson, from a teacher, and then another one from a pretend teacher, Daddy. Both went well. Now I can go really fast in a straight line (easy!) and also (mostly) stop. Next up: turning. That one's a little more complicated. But I have goggles now!

Look at all those ski tickets! So far I have 4 but I keep telling everyone that I want to have 100. I might need a bigger coat.
Another day, another magic carpet. I've got these things down.

Looks like some kind of wardrobe malfunction there with the jacket.

Look at Me Skiing!

Actual video proof that I can not only ski, but also stop! (Most of the time.)

This is from my 4th lesson, only two of which have been with actual professionals. On Saturday, a real teacher -- Cesar! -- taught me how to do the triangle stop, then Daddy took over Sunday. It went better than both of us expected, I think.
